“Children want to understand their environment and find their own relationship with it.” With our explorer backpacks we head out around the Sommerhof: we explore the woods, the meadow and the creatures by the stream – we look, listen, build and play.

Every session has its own topic that suits the season. In autumn, for example, we capture the colours of autumn in a home-made suncatcher, build a marble run in the woods or look for animal tracks and make a bird-feeder cone. We also use natural materials to make little boats, a dreamcatcher or a wind chime.

The nature explorers are for children aged 5 and over. Each session can be booked on its own.

Sommerhof Minis, Midis and Maxis

Course series for children aged 1 to 8: at every session you get to know the animals and the work on the farm – younger children come with an accompanying adult.
