Rabbits, chickens, pigs and ponies: at the petting hour you get to know the animals of the Sommerhof up close.
The petting hour is for children with an accompanying adult. Children and adults spend time with the animals together – with plenty of time for lovely encounters between people and animals and for all your questions. The petting hour is a great way to start if you are visiting the Sommerhof for the first time.
When and how?
- The petting hour takes place several times a year and lasts two hours.

Sometimes the petting hour turns into a little celebration: at the last petting hour before Christmas there was a waffle and punch stall, and the proceeds were donated.
